The Studio

DVFX Studios, a Miami based Photography and Productions Studio specializing in Portrait, Music, Commercial, and Editorial Photography. The Studio is located in West Kendall at 13900 S.W. 139th Court, Miami, Florida is owned and operated by Photographer J.C. Mendez.

In addition to being and full-time photography studio, DVFX Studios sponsors workshops, seminars and hands-on practical exercises that are designed to benefit photographers of all levels with a wide range of topics catering to all with a passion for photography. At DVFX Studios we subscribe to the philosophy of sharing the knowledge and one of our goals is to provide photographers with the means to enhance and further their photographic, technical and creative skills through the interactive exchange of knowledge and ideas.

This spacious, fully air conditioned 1500sqf Studio features 14' ceilings, a large 20x20x16 shooting area, Hair and Make-up station, WIFI and much more. The Studio is also available for hire, and pricing may be obtained by contacting us via the Contact Page. All studio sessions include the use of all studio equipment i.e., lights including a 6' Elinchrom Octobank, assorted softboxes and light modifiers, reflectors, fans, remote triggers and background. In addition, to ensure that the photographer gets the most out of their shooting time an assistant is always on hand to aid in the setup and operation of lighting and other general photo shoot tasks for the duration of shoot.

JC is an accomplished artist and photographer with over 30 years of experience who is intrigued by the oddities of everyday life. Photography is not just a source of income but also the means of sharing his vision with others.  He believes in the concept of sharing the knowledge and one of his goals is to provide other photographers with the means to enhance and further their photographic, technical and creative skills through the interactive exchange of knowledge and ideas.
